Cocktail of the week: Spanish Highball

A simple sherry-forward serve from the Glendronach is this week's cocktail recipe

This cocktail, a Sherry Highball from Glendronach, is inspired by the four "Flavour pillars" which the brand says master blender Dr Rachel Barrie looks for in every expression. The pillars holding up a great Glendronach whisky? "Fruit, elegant, rich & robust, and full-bodied."

The Glendronach is known for its sherried style, meaning it's well set up to complement the sherry in this refreshing serve.

Ingredients:
20ml The Glendronach 12 Years Old
5ml Pedro Ximénez sherry
1 lemon squeeze
Topped with light tonic water

Method:

Fill a wine goblet with ice, and add the whisky, sherry, lemon juice. Top with tonic water. Garnish with a slice of orange.
